$20.00

Professional Beveled Shear Sharpening (Mail-In Service)

This service is designed for everyday working grooming shears with a beveled (German-style) edge, including straight or curved shears of any length, as well as thinners and chunker/texturizer grooming shears.

Basic Shear Sharpening is ideal for reliable, high-volume tools that need consistent performance, clean cutting action, and proper mechanical setup without the extended time and precision required for convex craft sharpening.

Basic Sharpening Process

Each shear is serviced using a proven, repeatable process focused on function, consistency, and longevity:

  • Complete disassembly

  • Thorough cleaning

  • Detailed inspection

  • Replacement of worn hardware or washers as needed

  • Topside sharpening on a flat hone to the original factory bevel edge (unless otherwise specified)

  • Re-establishing the factory ridgeline (inside face) when applicable

  • Reassembly

  • Proper tension setting

  • Final test cutting with no lateral pressure (no thumb or finger bias)

This service provides dependable sharpening for groomers who rely on their tools daily and need fast, professional results without compromising edge integrity.
